Project - Documentary research on industrial bioprocesses R&D at the Canadian and international levels

Description - The Centre québécois de valorisation des biotechnologies (CQVB) benefited from Science-Metrix' expertise in documentary research as part of a second contract feeding into its monitoring and outreach activities. Specifically, Science-Metrix collected information related to innovation in the field of bioprocesses for various sectors (excluding biopharmaceutics and nutraceutics in the health and biomedical sectors). Scientific, technical and industrial information was gathered on Canada and other countries. Five industrial sectors were studied:
1. agri-food;
2. chemical products (commodities and fine chemicals);
3. bioenergy;
4. pulp, paper and textiles;
5. environmental applications.
Science-Metrix also identified research centres, policies and programs, upcoming events and websites of interest. The information collected by Science-Metrix was used to write a special issue of the BioVeille bulletin, a publication distributed by the CQVB to the members of the Réseau Bio-Innovation®. |
