EXCELLENCE IN CANADIAN HEALTH RESEARCH

Project - Report on the most frequently cited Canadian publications in biomedical research (1996, 1999, 2002)
Client -  Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)

Description - As part of their evaluation of the Operating Grants Program, the CIHR commissioned Science-Metrix to assess how far this program supports excellence in Canadian health research. Science-Metrix accomplished this by producing an objective list (without regard for funding source) of the most frequently cited Canadian papers in the SCI Expanded database for each of the main health research themes. The classification used was validated by the project managers at the CIHR.
