Description - The Centre québécois de valorisation des biotechnologies (CQVB) plays an important role in the dissemination of scientific and technological information to its scientific, industrial and socio-economic partners in Quebec and Canada. CQVB’s monitoring activities deal with many themes of vital interest to bio-industries, and therefore help develop a propitious environment for biotechnology innovation.
The CQVB benefited from Science-Metrix' expertise in documentary research to enrich CQVB’s Bioveille bulletin in the field of industrial biocatalysis. This bulletin contains accessible information about various biotechnology topics and R&D activities and industrial innovations in Canada and worldwide. It presents the networks, research centres and industries active in biotechnology as well as covering policies, programs, major events, publications and websites of interest. Science-Metrix provided CQVB with information on the key stakeholders (individuals, organizations, and networks) responsible for innovative projects in industrial biocatalysis and on resources of interest available in the public domain (scientific and technical publications, industrial and economic information).
The information collected by Science-Metrix was used to write a special issue of the BioVeille bulletin, a publication distributed by the CQVB to members of the Réseau Bio-Innovation®.
