Project -
Scientific and technical monitoring of polluting emissions from locomotives using diesel, natural gas and biodiesel
Client - Telligence Group (Robert Dunn et Peter Eggelton)
Description - Through Peter Eggleton of Telligence Group, a consultant in transportation technologies, the Transportation Development Centre (Transport Canada) commissioned Telligence Group and Science-Metrix three times to conduct scientific and technological literature reviews of scientific publications, conference proceedings, technical reports, market analyses and patents. These three projects provided an exhaustive list of the technological solutions available to reduce polluting emissions of the Canadian railway system's locomotives. The first study focused on potential solutions for the use of conventional fuel (diesel). The two subsequent studies focused on alternative fuels (natural gas and biodiesel).
