Science-Metrix provides evidence-rich performance assessments of research organizations and science-based programs and initiatives.

Our team has an in-depth understanding of the S&T environment and of the performance measurement and evaluation challenges that are commonly associated with organizations that:

  • produce science in support of programs, policies and regulations
  • provide financial support and governance

Evaluators at Science-Metrix are members of numerous evaluation societies and are continuously developing and expanding their knowledge of best-practice evaluation methods and tools.

The services offered by Science-Metrix include turnkey evaluation as well as specific data collection and technical reporting in support of evaluation projects and other evidence-based decision-making, strategic planning, and outcome assessment processes.

Our team uses state-of-the-art quantitative and qualitative research methods to:

  • Conduct complete evaluation with sound and actionable results (including design, data collection, analysis and reporting)
  • Measure and assess impacts and outcomes
  • Perform evaluability assessment (including environmental scans, data availability and quality assessments and options for evaluation approaches)
  • Design evaluation frameworks, methods and plans that address specific performance tracking and reporting needs (such as program logic models, data collection matrices, performance measurement strategies, evaluation issues, questions and indicators)
  • Specific data collection, analysis and technical reporting (such as bibliometrics, online surveys, case studies, interviews)
