1science officially launches 1findr, including a free edition!

Published on April 23 2018

The Science-Metrix team congratulates our sister company, 1science, on the official launch of 1findr, the world’s largest curated collection of peer-reviewed articles!

An innovative analytics and discovery platform, 1findr aims to include all articles published in peer-reviewed journals, in all fields of research, in all languages and from every country. The platform is now available in both a free and an institutional edition, with both editions offering twice as many open access articles as the leading competitor.

Both editions comprise an initial curated collection of 90 million records, with one-click downloading of full-text PDFs of open access articles when available. Science-Metrix and 1science CEO Dr. Eric Archambault explains, “1findr enables everyone to legally access 27 million green and gold open access articles harvested by 1science from thousands of renowned organizational sources and repositories such as arXiv, DOAJ and SciELO.”

1findr is also an important tool for boosting the discoverability and accessibility of the global research enterprise. Eric notes: “For the last fifty years we narrowly accessed and measured scientific knowledge with tools that were largely biased towards Western countries. Users in academia, charities, government and corporations want a more convenient, powerful and affordable way to access and measure the peer-reviewed research conducted globally.”

The Science-Metrix team is very proud of our colleagues and the products they have developed. To learn more about 1findr, visit 1science.com/1findr/
